Meir taps are specially designed to handle high water pressure while simultaneously operating systems with low water pressure.
The recommended water pressure range is:
→ 1 bar minimum to 10 bar maximum
Meir faucets should not be used outside the specified maximum water pressure. The faucet will not function properly, and the warranty will therefore be void. If you have any doubts about the water pressure, contact your contractor, plumber, or architect.
Yes, Meir products can be used in most European homes. Mastello is the official and sole distributor of Meir products in Europe. Feel free to contact us with any questions! To ensure the products comply with local plumbing requirements, we recommend consulting your contractor, plumber, or architect about the technical product specifications. Under the "Specifications" tab, you can easily download the working drawing for each Meir product as a PDF file.
All Meir faucets have a standard 1/2-inch connection. The necessary hardware and connection hoses are included with the product, unless otherwise indicated. To mount shower faucets and wall-mounted spouts to the wall, you'll need a wall plate. It's common for a plumber to provide this wall plate and any other specific pipe connections.
Meir holds the renowned WaterMark™ and WELS certifications in Australia. These certificates guarantee quality and the highest water efficiency.
In our webshop, we don't just display digital photos of our products; we've recently started using the latest technology: 3D images. Products may be displayed slightly differently, making it appear as if one product has a different color than another. Rest assured, this isn't the case! All our products receive the same galvanized finish.
If you don't abuse the product and follow the simple maintenance instructions, you'll enjoy your Meir product for a lifetime. Meir faucets are galvanized, also known as "electroplated." Galvanizing is a process that uses an electric current to dissolve and shape metal. The faucets are immersed in a dye bath under current, which creates a layer of colored metal that adheres to the product. This gives the faucets a highly wear- and scratch-resistant finish.
Maintenance tips:
→ Do not use harsh chemicals or cleaning cloths with a rough surface, such as scouring pads.
→ Use a soft/microfiber cloth with warm water and soap to clean your Meir products.
WaterMark™ is a quality product certification issued by independent certification bodies in Australia and New Zealand. The certification confirms that the product meets the relevant standards relating to product quality. This includes a healthy and safe working environment, as well as the product's fitness for its intended purpose.
WaterMark certification is mandatory for products that must be legally installed in accordance with national plumbing regulations. Certified products are listed in the Plumbing Code and AS3500.000. The WaterMark™ certification guarantees that when you purchase a product, you know it is of high quality and legally permitted for installation in your home.
The certification process involves a detailed inspection of the factory. The applicant must demonstrate compliance with strict quality control, the material supply management program, and the manufacturing process. The products themselves are subjected to chemical analyses, strength tests, and endurance tests (for example, where faucet valves are opened and closed 50,000 times). Only if the applicant passes this extensive inspection will certification be granted.
Electroplating, also called galvanizing, is a process that uses an electric current to cover an object with a layer of metal. Meir uses this process to finish over 95% of its products. Electroplating is much more durable, wear-resistant, and scratch-resistant than powder coating. Always follow Meir's maintenance tips when cleaning the products.
Powder coating is an electrostatic painting process in which compressed air is used to spray powder onto an object. The finish is then cured at high temperatures. The powder can be a thermoplastic or a thermosetting polymer.
Compared to a galvanized finish, powder coating is more susceptible to wear and scratches. A powder-coated product usually comes with a limited warranty. If you're making a long-term purchase, choose the galvanized finish for Meir faucets and accessories. Meir products come with a 15-year warranty on the finish!
→ Do not use harsh chemicals or cleaning cloths with a rough surface, such as scouring pads.
→ Use a soft/microfiber cloth with warm water and soap to clean your products.
We strongly recommend that you consult a certified installer for the installation of your purchased products. If you have the installation carried out by an uncertified plumber, you may lose your warranty and home contents insurance. If any damage occurs during installation by a certified installer, they are responsible for compensation. So, with a certified plumber, you have that little bit more peace of mind!
The warranties for each product are listed under the 'Specifications' tab.
All our Meir products come with a guarantee of:
→ 15 years on the finish
→ 10 years on the internals
→ 10 years on the parts
Maintenance tips:
