The origins of Colour Funk
To gather new ideas for the collection, trend reports, and the latest bathroom designs, the Mastello team traveled to the vibrant city of Milan. During design week, they discovered the latest developments at the Salone del Mobile and visited various exhibitions in the city center. This inspiring experience resulted in the unique bathroom styles Amber Embrace , Organic Textures , and the vibrant new trend: Colour Funk.
Materials, shapes and features in Colour Funk
You can use colored faucets, tiles, colored concrete, and spray-painted MDF. The shapes are geometric and artistic, with added design elements. The color contrasts, the neutral base, and striking pops of color are characteristic. This creates an eclectic and surprising look in the space.
The colours of Colour Funk
This bathroom style combines a calm base with bold color accents. Choose a vanity or sink in your favorite color, or make a statement with striking faucets. You can also incorporate these color accents into accessories, allowing you to restyle each season in line with the latest trend colors.
How to create a Colour Funk bathroom yourself
Start your bathroom with a neutral base and then decide which shapes, materials, and colors you want to add. This bathroom features large concrete-look tiles on the floor and plaster on the walls. You could also choose to have a section of the bathroom with a colorful tile on the wall; we chose small green tiles, which add a pop of color to the space. In this bathroom, these tiles also draw attention to the unique, eye-catching shower areas. If you find the green tiles on the wall a bit too colorful, or think, "I'll be done with that green after a few months," you can also choose neutral tiles and accessories or artistic elements that add color to your space.
In this bathroom, our brand new copper faucets were used to bring some warmth into the space. These faucets and accessories have a unique copper/bronze color that perfectly complements the design of this bathroom area. Behind the vanity, small tiles are used for a somewhat diminutive and cozy look. To maintain the height of the beautiful, high ceiling and enhance the spacious feeling, we chose to extend the mirrors further up. The vanity is in the new color Rosa California from our Mastello modular bathroom furniture line . You can customize this modular bathroom furniture to your liking by connecting the units together.
