What is solid surface?
Solid surface is a material with unique properties and advantages. It is strong and extremely durable. It is fully recyclable, yet any damage is also easily repaired. Small scratches can be easily polished, which is not the case with ceramics or plastics, for example. Solid surface is often used in the following products:
- sanitary products, such as washbasins, wash bowls , baths and plates
- kitchen countertops
- cabinets and counters
- facade cladding

No, Corian and HI-MACS are two well-known brands that generally only produce solid surface panels. These panels are purchased by interior designers for use in products like washbasins. Corian and HI-MACS do not sell washbasins.

What are the differences in quality between solid surface polyester and acrylic adhesives?
For the end user, it doesn't matter whether the solid surface is made of polyester or acrylic adhesive. For processors of the material, one may be easier to work with than the other. For example, acrylic adhesive is often used more often in thermoforming or vacuum forming of solid surfaces. However, there's no difference in quality!
